Rory was honoured to receive Future Research Leaders grant from Science Foundation Ireland (further information here and here). The grant was formally awarded by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, at a recent ceremony in Áras an Uachtaráin. The funding will be used to develop CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing methods to understand the roles of long noncoding RNAs in lung cancer.
